This restaurant lives up to its name: Wurzel, meaning "root", signifies a dedication to the local terroir, Werk, meaning "craft", highlights a commitment to artisanal cooking techniques – chef-patron Benjamin Bendzko puts both into practice in his market-fresh cuisine. Exceptional and almost exclusively regional ingredients are used to create flavoursome and pleasingly down-to-earth dishes. Two buildings, built in 1875 as a farmstead, now house a guesthouse (with a café at weekends) and this restaurant, whose rustic charm and pretty decor make for a cosy atmosphere. In summer, the garden terrace is the place to be.

이 식당은 이름에 걸맞은 곳이다. 'Wurzel'은 '뿌리'를 의미하며, 지역의 자연 환경에 대한 헌신을 나타낸다. 'Werk'는 '공예'를 뜻하며, 장인 요리 기법에 대한 의지를 강조한다. 셰프이자 주인인 벤자민 벤츠코는 신선한 재료를 이용해 두 가지를 모두 실천한다. 뛰어나고 거의 전적으로 지역에서 재배한 재료를 사용해 맛있고 소박한 요리를 만든다. 1875년에 농가로 지어진 두 건물은 현재 게스트하우스(주말에는 카페 운영)와 이 식당을 담고 있는데, 소박한 매력과 예쁜 장식이 아늑한 분위기를 자아낸다. 여름에는 정원 테라스가 특히 인기 있는 공간이다.
