Martin Walther is the fourth generation of his family at the helm of this restaurant named after the nearby Dresdner Heide woodland. His mother and father are still involved in running the business. In the grand house dating back to 1905, which used to be a café that hosted tea dances, modern cuisine with an international slant is served in the form of seasonal à la carte dishes and two set menus. Named "wasser & weide" ("water & pasture") and "acker & beet" ("field and beet" – vegetarian), each has three or five courses. The pierogi are a modernised take on the Polish classic – a nod to Martin Walther's mother's roots. Wine pairings are available upon request. Friendly and dedicated service.

마르틴 발터는 근처의 드레스덴 하이드 숲에서 이름을 딴 이 레스토랑의 4대째 운영자다. 그의 부모님도 여전히 사업 운영에 참여하고 있다. 1905년에 지어진 이 멋진 건물은 한때 차를 마시는 댄스 카페로 사용되던 곳이며, 지금은 현대적인 국제 요리를 계절에 맞춘 단품 요리와 두 가지 코스 메뉴 형태로 제공한다. "wasser & weide"("물과 풀")와 "acker & beet"("밭과 비트" - 채식 메뉴)라는 이름의 각 코스는 3개 또는 5개로 구성되어 있다. 피로기(pierogi)는 폴란드 전통 요리를 현대적으로 재해석한 것으로, 마르틴 발터의 어머니의 뿌리에 대한 경의를 표하는 모습이다. 와인은 요청 시 페어링이 가능하다. 친절하고 헌신적인 서비스가 인상적이다.
