 With this lovely bistro, Thorsten Bender offers an alternative to sein, his restaurant right next door. The place has a stylish and lively feel; the terrace in the courtyard makes for an irresistibly romantic setting in summer. The commitment that the owners bring to their work is palpable – both in the delicious regional cuisine, which includes classic and modern dishes, and the inviting and pleasingly laid-back service under the direction of the lady of the house. Good food is accompanied by wines at prices that won't break the bank. At lunch, the reasonably priced set menu draws a crowd. Tip: Adjacent to the bistro is the intimate and stylishly cosy Séparée. Here, a six-course set menu with wine or non-alcoholic pairings is served to up to 10 diners at the communal "Community Table" – can be booked Thu-Sun evenings.
